Pediatric Clinical Trials Professionals Needed to Discuss Educational Game

NOVA is developing an educational game for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). We are developing a web-based game for elementary-school-age children that introduces basic concepts of clinical trials, why pediatric clinical trials are needed, and the roles of clinical trials team members.

We invite clinical trials professionals to participate in a focus group via webinar to assist us during development of the game. Participants will review draft materials (graphics, educational content, etc.) and talk about the game to help ensure that the game achieves stated objectives.

The webinar is expected to take 30–45 minutes.

We expect to conduct the webinar later in May.

If interested in participating, please contact Kathy Sedgwick at and include the times of day that would be most convenient for you (e.g., weekday morning, weekday afternoon, weekday evening, weekend). This will help us determine the best time to hold the webinar.

Please feel free to share this announcement with others on your team who may be interested in participating.

We appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Great news Kathy. Keep us posted on the progress of this project. This is the first effort that we've heard of that focuses on beginning education about clinical trials in elementary education.
